Timing Services
Our race timers have something in common with the runner of any race, they are passionate runners themselves. You will see that in how much energy they bring, how excited they get being around the race, and the responsibility they take in ensuring an event is a success. You will find our services in par with that of other professional timers, however, we strive to do so in a more sustainable and less costly way. When 80% of races are used as fundraisers for charitable causes, it is important to us that as much money remains with the charitable cause as possible. Period.
Below is a summary of our offering:
-
Full end to end timing system leveraging reusable RFID enabled timing chips or bracelets. You do not pay bib or chip fees. However, you are free to still use bibs if you desire.
-
Fully redundant backup system at the start/finish
-
Electronic race day registration and chip/runner assignment verification.
-
Finish Line camera automatically taking pictures of finishers when they cross the finish line and a finish line video recording as runners pass (also used as disaster recovery)
-
Results uploaded to all major event websites of your choosing allowing users to print out a "Finishers Certificate" (if applicable).
-
We email every finisher their individual results (if email is provided) and will direct them to view the entire race results, photos, and videos.
-
Onsite results kiosk
-
An Announcers TV allows both runners and the announcer to see who is approaching so they can be cheered on by name. If placed behind the finish line, it will display the runners finishing time.
-
Start/Finish line chute (no cost, if needed)
-
Start/Finish line metal truss and/or 25 foot inflatable arch (no cost, if needed)
-
Split time zones (optional fees apply)
Our fees are straightforward and simple.
-
$100 per hour for each timing zone for setup, equipment operation and tear down. The minimum fee is $500, and a typical 5k/10k race will cost only $500 (plus any per registrant fees)
-
$2 per registrant, but see below.
-
If your organization will declare that at least 50% of the revenue received for the race is going toward funding the programs of a charitable cause (and not employees, leadership teams or board members), we will waive the per registrant fee for the first 200 registrants. That is a savings of $400!
-
Plus: More Than Trail will promote your race with our seal of approval as we feel any race benefiting a charitable cause warrants special promotion!
-
-
-
Additional cost considerations:
-
If travel time to the race start from Phoenixville, PA is more than 1 hour, there will be a travel cost of $1 per mile (one way).
-
If the race location and start time dictates that overnight lodging is needed, that cost would be extra. However, a local hotel may comp a room as a donation to your event if asked.
-
Non-traditional races include races with split zones or separate start and finish lines, or races with a duration longer than your typical 10k. As noted above, the fees only increase by $100 per hour for those separate timing zones that must be setup, monitored and torn down. Since every race is different, consult with us before so we can properly quote you the amount.
